The CUNY Summer Undergraduate Research Program (CSURP) is a ten-week summer initiative offering participants a hands-on research experience. It is open to undergraduate students interested in five core research areas: environmental science, nanoscience, neuroscience, photonics, and structural biology. Beyond immersive research within the ASRC laboratories, CSURP provides students with limited free housing, Metrocards for transportation, and a structured programming schedule. This programming encompasses research seminars, presentations focused on career development, a communications workshop to enhance scientific communication skills, and an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the American Museum of Natural History. The program culminates in a formal poster session where all CSURP participants showcase their research findings to faculty and research staff at the Advanced Science Research Center.
