The Quantitative Sciences Undergraduate Research Experience (QSURE) is an internship program designed for motivated undergraduate students passionate about quantitative science. Each student is paired with an expert mentor to work on an individual, data-driven research project that aims to answer pressing questions in cancer. The program provides hands-on skills in biostatistics, epidemiology, health outcomes, and/or computational oncology. Interns receive training in scientific and career development skills, including hands-on research experience under faculty guidance, quantitative methods in cancer and population health research, exposure to data applications through speakers, education in responsible conduct of research, and training in oral and written scientific presentation. It also offers resources for career development, understanding options for graduate study and careers, and a supportive cohort of like-minded peers. The 10-week internship provides a stipend of $6,187.50, and housing is available for accepted students. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US. The QSURE program is supported by the National Cancer Institute and the MSK Society.
