The Research Fellowship Program, offered by the Institute of Data and Information (iDI) at Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School, was launched in 2025. It welcomes outstanding undergraduate and graduate students from other universities to engage in immersive research activities within iDI laboratories. Participants typically spend two to three months, usually during the summer and winter vacations, conducting research under the guidance of leading mentors in various fields. Through this program, visiting students have the opportunity to conduct joint research with mentors and laboratory students, as well as participate in academic symposiums, lectures, and campus activities organized by the Institute and its laboratories. At the program's conclusion, students are required to submit a visiting summary report. The institute conducts an assessment for financial support after the completion of the visiting period, with specific requirements detailed in an official notice. While on-campus accommodation is limited, the institute assists students in finding short-term rentals near the university town; students may also arrange their own housing. Subject to availability, the institute may also help reserve a workspace in a shared study area, with requests reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
