Healthy CUNY provides fieldwork opportunities, doctoral research fellowships, and master's level practicum placements for students and faculty researchers. These opportunities are both research and intervention focused within Healthy CUNY h2019s areas of focus, which include food security, healthcare access, mental health, and safe and healthy relationships. Under the supervision of Healthy CUNY faculty and staff, students gain knowledge and skills in public health research, policy and data analysis, program design, and health advocacy. Additionally, Healthy CUNY partners with CUNY Service Corps and CUNY Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) to offer opportunities for undergraduate students interested in exploring public health careers and gaining valuable job skills. Students can apply directly to these partnership programs and may be matched for a field placement with Healthy CUNY. Interested students and faculty researchers are encouraged to contact Healthy CUNY Deputy Director Patti Lamberson to explore available opportunities.
